On July 13 (Tir 22), we at the Society for the Protection of Children’s Rights express our solidarity with the call for unity and urgent action. Through the release of our independent statement, we stand against war and for life.
The Society for the Protection of Children’s Rights, based on the principles enshrined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child, believes that achieving sustainable peace is the only path to ensuring fundamental rights for children and building a safe, just, and socially equitable society.
Sustainable peace is a concept beyond temporary ceasefires; it requires a global commitment to human dignity and equal access to opportunities, quality education, healthcare services, and social welfare for all children.
On this basis, the Society for the Protection of Children’s Rights calls for urgent and effective action from governments (especially the Islamic Republic of Iran), international organizations, civil society institutions, and all sectors of society
· Immediate measures must be taken to achieve sustainable peace and to firmly condemn acts of aggression and the use of force;
· Ensure protection and comprehensive support for children, especially those in areas under attack, including urgent access to healthcare, safe shelter, education, and psychosocial support;
· Strengthen diplomatic and peace-oriented efforts to prevent the recurrence of military conflicts and reduce tensions;
· Recognize the role and voice of children and child-focused civil society organizations in peace-related decision-making processes, reconstruction, and future-building
We invite everyone to join this solidarity and, through joint or independent actions — wherever you are and in whatever form — help turn “Life for All, War for No One” into a powerful voice and a collective demand from July 18 to 20 (Tir 28–۳۰).
