Women’s Organizations Join the Civil Initiative “Life Against War”

In a powerful show of unity and resistance to militarism, over ۱۰۱ civil society organizations in Iran — including a significant number of women-led and feminist associations — have joined the grassroots movement “Life for All – War for No One” since its launch on July 12 (Tir 22).

This civil initiative, which began with support from more than 70 grassroots groups, has grown rapidly, drawing in educators, labor activists, cultural figures, and now, a broad coalition of women’s organizations who are raising their voices in defense of peace, justice, and life.

Among the signatories are prominent women’s groups and associations working on entrepreneurship, economic justice, and gender equity across the country:

  • Raz Institute (Media, Thought, Women)
  • National Association of Women Entrepreneurs
  • Women and Youth Entrepreneurship Development Foundation
  • Gilan Women Entrepreneurs Association
  • Lorestan Women Businesswomen Association
  • Green Women Entrepreneurs of Khuzestan
  • Trade Union of Women Entrepreneur Managers

These organizations represent a growing feminist and social movement that sees the fight against war as deeply linked to the defense of life, dignity, and human rights — especially for marginalized communities and women disproportionately affected by conflict.

As the call for peace continues, civil society groups are inviting everyone to take part in this movement between July 18–۲۰ (Tir 28–۳۰) by organizing actions, sharing messages, and amplifying the demand for a future built on solidarity rather than violence.

In the face of destruction, we choose life. In the face of war, we stand for peace — for all.
